Police Say Man Shot Himself, 3 Others In Gallatin

Police are investigating the reasons behind a series of fatal shootings early Saturday morning in Gallatin.

The Gallatin Police Department says 41-year-old Kevin Johnson fatally shot himself after killing another man and wounding two other people in a neighborhood off Water Avenue. Police believe Johnson knew all of the victims, but have not stated a motive for the shootings.

Officers responded to an initial shots fired call at 6 a.m. and found one victim near the corner of Spencer Avenue and Maple Street. They received a second call shortly after and found another victim near Elleta Avenue.

Police say Johnson then barricaded himself in a home on Boles Street for about three hours before shooting himself. The victims have not yet been publicly identified.
