The Saudi Arabian ambassador told an audience of business leaders in Nashville today/yesterday, that there are many opportunities for investment in his country, especially for health care companies.
Prince Turki Al-Faisal assumed his post as the Saudi ambassador to the US last fall, and has been visiting US cities to get to know the country and improve trade relations.
Al-Faisal says health care is a booming industry in Saudi Arabia.
“Last year’s budget in Saudi Arabia initiated the construction of something like 200 hospitals and health clinics throughout the kingdom. You can imagine then that that issue is about building buildings, but also providing the health care personnel, the know how and the technology that will be installed in the hospitals and clinics.”
Al-Faisal says Nashville’s Hospital Corporation of America first gave expertise to building a specialty hospital in Saudi Arabia more than thirty years ago.
Energy costs remain a concern for business representatives attending today’s/yesterday’s event, but Al-Faisal did not offer any short-term fixes, saying more refineries need to be built in the US.
