Nashville Will Launch Phase 1 Of Reopening Plan Monday

Nashville will begin to ease some “Safer at Home” restrictions  Monday, even as new cases of the coronavirus continue to rise. Mayor John Cooper says the health benchmarks officials have been watching aren’t perfect, but that the city has earned a “passing grade” to start the first phase of Metro’s “Roadmap for Reopening.”

Nashville Coronavirus Cases Continue To Mount, Slowing Plans To Reopen

Nashville still isn’t ready to relaunch its economy, officials say. For the third straight day, Metro has reported 100 or more new cases of the coronavirus. Two more elderly residents also died yesterday, bringing the local death toll to 24.

Nashville Will Ramp Up COVID-19 Screenings, Including At Drive-Thru Tents

Metro Nashville is planning to open as many as five drive-thru coronavirus testing centers across the city. They’ve formed a partnership with local health providers, including St. Thomas Health, Meharry Medical College, Nashville General Hospital and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. As of Thursday, officials had counted 75 cases in Davidson County.
