The NCAA settles lawsuit with Tennessee and Virginia over compensation rules for recruits

This settles the antitrust lawsuit filed exactly a year ago by the attorneys general of Tennessee and Virginia challenging the NCAA’s ban on the use of name, image and likeness compensation in the recruitment of college athletes.

Vandy QB Diego Pavia now waits as federal judge takes injunction request under advisement

Gretchen Walsh sets a world record in the 100-meter butterfly at the U.S. Olympic trials

Gretchen Walsh set a world record in the women’s 100-meter butterfly, posting a time of 55.18 seconds in a semifinal heat at the U.S. Olympic swimming trials. The 21-year-old Walsh is a native of Tennessee who competes for the University of Virginia.
