GM Pledges To Make Good On Vehicle Lines At Spring Hill, 1,800 Jobs

General Motors will build a second vehicle at its plant in Spring Hill, adding as many as 1,800 jobs. The company is also investing an additional $167 million into the factory that began as home to the Saturn brand.

Nissan Treats Temps to Car Discounts as Union Organizing Effort Underway

Nissan North America can soon offer discounted vehicle leases to a growing part of its Tennessee workforce – temporary employees. The benefit required a change in state law, which is now awaiting Governor Bill Haslam’s signature after passing the General Assembly nearly unanimously.

GM Spring Hill Makes Way for New Hires

General Motors is hiring locally in Spring Hill for the first time in more than 15 years. The company has now brought back everyone who left after the plant was idled in 2009.
