Sunday is the inaugural Nashville SC game at the new stadium, Geodis Park. It has a capacity for about 30,000 fans, but parking spots for only about 5,000 cars. That’s left many folks befuddled about how to get to the game.
Twitter has been alight with fans struggling to get parking passes:
Nashville SC doesn’t take many L’s but this parking situation definitely seems to be one of them.

It was easier to get season tix than to get parking. But it is done… for this game.

For fans who couldn’t snag a parking pass, there are two off-campus parking lots about a mile from the stadium.
They’re first come first serve, and there are shuttles that will take fans to the stadium for $10.
Metro Nashville Police also announced Friday that parking and a shuttle will be available at Nissan Stadium.
JUST ANNOUNCED: Satellite parking will be available at Nissan Stadium for Sunday's @nashvillesc's inaugural match at GEODIS Park. The lots open at 11 a.m. The fee is $10 per vehicle with a free roundtrip shuttle. Reserve shuttle space here: https://t.co/2SWzzvOT4l

WeGo has two bus routes that run to the stadium, but one of them doesn’t run on Sundays.
“Parking will be limited,” says Nashville’s Police Chief John Drake in a PSA. He encouraged fans to rideshare or take public transit to get to the game.
And beyond parking, it’s clear the department is concerned about the game contributing to another growing issue in Nashville – guns stolen from cars.
“If you drive, don’t leave any weapons in your vehicles,” Drake says, “and make sure you secure your valuables.”
Already more than 475 guns have been stolen from vehicles in the city this year. That’s about double the number from this time last year.
