2022 was a big year for WPLN News. The newsroom underwent substantial growth, in part with the launch of its first-ever daily show, This Is Nashville, and produced intensive coverage of abortion restrictions, policing and the flood recovery in Waverly.

WPLN Receives Awards From Murrow And Associated Press
It’s awards season in the world of journalism, and WPLN has been recognized quite a bit. WPLN’s reporters won three 2019 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, which honor outstanding achievement in broadcast and digital journalism through RTDNA. This year, 4,600 entries were submitted for the competition.
