A Snow Day In Nashville Means Sledding And Skating — Yes, Outdoor Ice Skating

The winter storm continued to close schools, businesses and state offices Tuesday, as Nashville turned into a snow-covered city. But, for the more adventurous, the growing piles of snow and ice meant sledding down the Capitol hill, snowboarding in front of the Parthenon and playing ice hockey in Centennial Park.

Metro Parks Will Explore Relocation Process For Confederate Monument In Centennial Park

Metro Parks is in the early stages of exploring the process of moving a Confederate monument to another section of Centennial Park. The board is scheduled discuss the issue at its Aug. 6 meeting.
