Workers at General Motors joint venture battery plant in Tennessee unionize and will get pay raise

The UAW says in a statement that GM and LG Energy Solution of Korea agreed to recognize the union after a majority of Spring Hill workers signed cards saying they wanted to join.

Spring Hill General Motors Plant Shuttered Indefinitely, Just Months After Historic Strike

General Motors has told workers that its manufacturing plants will remain closed indefinitely. The company had originally hoped to resume production next week. That means more than 3,000 employees in Spring Hill are temporarily out of work.
