Middle Tennessee snow: How much fell, what it looked like and what’s next

Within an hour Thursday morning, Middle Tennessee streets went from almost dry to absolutely dangerous. Snow was falling at more than an inch an hour, reaching 7 inches in some places and resulting in hundreds of traffic accidents.

Masking is quickly making a comeback in Nashville. Metro government buildings will require face coverings starting Thursday, and now the superintendent of Metro Schools is recommending universal masking for the start of the semester next week.

Report: Pandemic Leading Fewer Nashville High School Graduates To Enroll In College

Nashville high schoolers who graduated in 2020 were less likely than their predecessors to immediately enroll in college. The pandemic last fall shut down schools and created new barriers that derailed students from pursuing their post-high school plans.
