Nashville’s country music festival, CMA Fest, is canceled once again this year. The Country Music Association announced the pandemic poses too many obstacles to host the event, which usually brings more than 80,000 people to the city each day.

CMA Chief Abruptly Resigns

The head of the Country Music Association has resigned without notice. Steve Moore says he plans to “pursue other corporate and philanthropic opportunities.” He says in a statement, “this seemed like an appropriate time to step aside,” given record attendance at the CMA festival and new long-term TV contracts for the CMA Awards.
