Tennessee Democrats want tighter gun policy after Covenant School shooting; Republicans say don’t politicize it

After Monday’s mass shooting at Covenant School, Tennessee Democrats are calling on their Republican counterparts to limit access to guns.  But Republicans do not want to talk about it.

Metro Council says it needs more time to set new districts

Spouses whose loved one died in a workplace accident could see an increase in workers’ compensation benefits

Under the state’s workers’ compensation laws, if your husband or wife dies while at work, you can get up to half of their average weekly pay. A Tennessee lawmaker wants to increase that to two-thirds.

Tennessee House passes bill decriminalizing abortions for miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies

Tennessee’s main anti-abortion group now backs an exception to the state’s total ban
