Tennessee nursing homes are in critical need of staffing help

Since the pandemic began, nursing homes and assisted living facilities have lost more than 400,000 jobs, according to national data. Facilities in Tennessee have lost more than 8,000 workers — a 13% decrease.

COVID antiviral pills are now available for free in Tennessee, but access is limited

Tennessee received 5,000 courses of molnupirvar from Merck, which is slightly less effective according to early clinical data, and 1,000 courses for Pfizer’s Paxlovid. They’ll be available for free through some Walmart pharmacies across the state, but supplies are very limited at the moment.
