A Nashville lab company that has been processing many of the state’s COVID-19 tests is now getting help from the federal government to further expand. The Department of Health and Human Services is investing $6.5 million in two commercial labs, including Aegis Sciences.
Nashville-based Aegis Sciences has been approved to test for COVID-19. And starting on Wednesday, the company says its labs in MetroCenter will be able to turn around 3,500 tests a day, with results available within 24 hours.
